Andi Mills - Rider
Mother of 3, Grandmother of 5. Truck driver and author. I currently reside in South Carolina.
I bred and trained Paints and Quarter Horses for 25 years. I have also bred and trained German Shepherd Dogs for 15 years.
My hobbies include hunting, camping, trail riding and hiking.
Edie New – Rider
I am a native of South Carolina. I am a very spiritual person and devoted to my family and friends. I don’t have children of my own but have 8 wonderful nieces and nephews and 3 great-nieces.
I worked in management in the industrial environment for 23 years and am currently self-employed. I am considered an entrepreneur and love having a variety of responsibilities.
I played a variety of sports during High School and after graduation which included a traveling softball team. I have ridden and loved horses my entire life. Other hobbies include building, using my bobcat, fishing and riding motorcycles.
Marla McKinney – Crew
I was born in Spartanburg, SC and reside in Abbeville, SC. I have 3 beautiful daughters and 1 grand-daughter. I also have 4 horses, 1 dog, 1 cat and 1 motorcycle.
I was in the United States military when younger and received a marksmanship award during my service. I have had a variety of jobs from playing Snoopy when in High School to precision metal machining and finally quality inspection.
I have a Harley Davidson sportster which I enjoy riding when I have time. Other hobbies include building things, fishing, camping, horseback riding and watching Sunday afternoon football from the couch.
I feel both privileged and honored to be a part of this team.
Whiskey is a ranch horse I got from a place called Super Gentle Horses. He is a red appaloosa and stands only 14-2. He is solid as a tank and very eager to please. He is 7 years old and certainly healthy enough for the days ahead.
Amos is 50% German Shepherd, 50% Australian Shepherd and 100% best friend, companion and protector. He is facility trained for pet therapy in children's hospitals, VA hospitals, and in nursing homes. He has served as a company security dog with Andi while she was driving expedited freight in 48 states and Canada in commercial trucks. His hobbies include playing "keep away" with any toy, stealing the covers from Andi and mooching food.
Jericho is a10 year old red roan Quarter Horse gelding. He was born in North Dakota and was ranch broke to work cattle. He is a little horse with a lot of heart. He is Andi's mount for the trip.
Tonto is a 7 year old iron stallion. He was born in Milwaukee, WI but was raised in the south. He is all heart and spooks at nothing.
